Target group:

  • Companies that do not train because of the costs
  • Companies that cannot afford their own trainers
  • Adolescents from the area
  • Companies that cannot communicate certain training contents and therefore do not train

 

Aims:

  • Motivate companies to train
  • Foundation of an association
  • Train qualified specialists
  • Local training places for adolescents
  • Provide auxiliary instruments to companies that wish to train, but cannot

 

Background:

Egypt is regarded among international investors and suppliers as one of the most attractive and promising markets in the Middle East and Arab world. The Egyptian economy possesses considerable growth potential. In most sectors there is a great deal of pent-up demand, which requires fresh investment. At the centre of the investments, apart from the infrastructure, is the area of education and further training. This is based on the increasing awareness of the need for education and further training, especially among foreign companies. Without this it will not be possible to generate growth in the long term. The effect of this is to create an increased readiness to finance education and further training measures with a correspondingly higher demand

 

Implementation:

IMOTEP is the tripartite training system in the Export industry. It corrects the weaknesses of the dual system. IMOTEP organises an external training workshop and integrates it with the companies and vocational school and does everything that holds companies back from getting on with their daily business. The initiator is the gpdm GmbH (Gesellschaft für Projektierungs-und Dienstleistungsmanagment – Company for Project and Service Management). In this way SMEs are enabled to train their own skilled new recruits in a manner that is tailor-made and cost effective. As a result their competitiveness vis-à-vis big companies is also boosted.

  • trainees very seldom (< 5%) break off their training
  • do 15% better in exams than the IHK (German Chamber of Industry and Commerce) average

Financing:

Knock-on financing:

  • Knock-on financing by public clients (ministries)

Refinancing:

  • Levy-based financing of the workshop by companies as with the training remuneration
  • Refinancing opportunities by handling orders and providing services
  • Refinancing opportunities through orders and services for non-association members

 

We are looking for:

  • Investors - for local support and as financial sponsors
  • Local companies - to build up the association and stabilise the network 
  • State -  for support and knock-on financing                
  • City, region  - to provide premises, for lobby work and knock-on financing

 

Conditions:for the start:

  • Begin at least 5 months prior to training start
  • Transferable to all industrial sectors
  • Minimum potentiality in terms of companies in defined surroundings
